Blevice lies in the valley of the Blevický stream, about 12 km north-east of Kladno and 6 km south-west of Kralupy nad Vltavou.

The first written record of Blevice dates to 1282, when the settlement paid dues to the Church of St Peter and St Paul at Budeč. A chapel on the village green bears the date 1746 and a memorial plaque to the victims of the First World War. From the 1860s, Blevice hosted the so-called Blevické concerts, which continued the musical tradition of Velvarsko.
