Středokluky lies about 15 km west of Prague, near Václav Havel Airport and the D7 motorway. In 2025, the municipality had just under 1,300 residents. It comprises three parts: Středokluky, Nové Středokluky and Černovičky.

The first written record of Středokluky dates to 1316. The Baroque Church of St Procopius, built in 1719–1721 to plans by F. M. Kaňka, surrounds a cemetery established in 1725. A Baroque statue of a guardian angel dating from the 18th century also stands in the village.
