Svrkyně is a municipality in the Praha-západ District. It consists of the parts of Svrkyně and Hole. It lies about 15 km north-west of central Prague.

The first written record of Svrkyně dates from 1311. The Zákolanský potok flows through the municipality and is protected as a natural monument. At the centre of Svrkyně, a Gothic church dedicated to St Michael from the early 14th century stands on the village green, surrounded by a former cemetery.
